Arkon's SM425-S mount attaches to your car's passenger-side seat bolt location. Nearly all car's have an exposed or easily accessible passenger-side seat bolt. Arkon's SM425-S utilizes this location to position your cell phone in the car within close proximity. Arkon's Mega Grip holder is not phone specific, though it works with nearly all phones including those that have protective cases or skins on them. SM425-S is better suited as a mount for your phone's handsfree calling, or to keep your phone close. The seat bolt or floor location is usually not ideal if using your phone with GPS.

The BR-355 GPS Receiver can be utilized in a variety of applications which require GPS signals to be received and decoded in your Windows laptop (USB cable required) or tablet PC, and for Mac users, their iBooks or Powerbooks. Compatible with most all NMEA compliant third-party software, the BR-355 is suitable for use in vehicle, marine and aviation navigation, as well as commercial and municipality applications such as fire trucks, police cars, buses, GIS data collection and much more!

The BR-355’s slim profile housing is completely waterproof and incorporates an active patch antenna for the highest level of GPS accuracy. With a 60” cable, placement of the GPS receiver anywhere in the vehicle is will work most of the time, but in those rare occurrences when towering high-rise buildings offer challenging satellite reception, simply place the BR-355 on the vehicle’s roof (attaches with its built-in magnet) for improved reception.

Since power and data are transferred through the same serial cable from the BR-355, from either the host Laptop’s USB port or PS/2 port (depending on which cable set is used theres no need for additional batteries or any other external power source).
